AFTER FACT, the real time business accounting software, and Perks Enterprise, a payroll and HR software for production and manufacturing enterprises, Vedika Software is all set to launch Perks Office, an open-ended payroll and HR software for the office segment that can be seamlessly integrated with FACT as well.

Mr Arvind Agarwalla, CEO of Vedika Software, told Business Line, that while Perks Office would be launched in India in the days ahead, the product would be rolled out in Singapore, Malaysia and the Philippines in April.

Vedika, through its registered companies in Singapore and Malaysia, already markets and supports installations of FACT and Perks Enterprise in these countries.

Mr Agarwalla said the "test launch" of the "parameter-driven" Perks Office had thrown up a huge latent demand for the product, especially among the company's existing customers who have installed FACT.

"The demand for Perks Office has been spurred by the very many statutory compliance laws that exist in India.

These include compliance pertaining to employees provident fund, employees state insurance, tax deduction at source, professional tax, etc.

A strong enforcement machinery, too, has ensured that companies comply with these laws. As such, many companies have expressed their desire to install a software that facilitates such compliance", he said.

According to him, with the launch of Perks Office after FACT, Vedika's offerings for the office segment comprises an integrated accounting and payroll & HR solution as well.

While FACT has been priced at Rs 19,500 per single user installation, the cost of installing a Perks Enterprise starts at Rs 2.5 lakh.

Perks Office, "which is almost implementable off the shelf", has been priced at Rs 48,000 per installation.
