Disconnection drive
Bangalore Electricity Supply Company (BESCOM) has organised a mass disconnection drive on Friday to disconnect all installations that have arrears. The drive will be taken up in Jayamahal Extension, Nandidurga Extension, Munireddypalya, Chinnappa Garden, Marappa Garden, S.K. Garden, R.T. Nagar and Modi Garden, a press release said.
Plastic surgery
The Friends Welfare Organisation, a non-governmental organisation (NGO), has organised a free plastic surgery camp for the poor and underprivileged sections. Organised along with the Germany-based Inter-Plast, the camp will be conducted at Surana Project Drishti Eye Institute, Sirur Park Road, Seshadripuram Road, on Sunday, 10 a.m. onwards. Postponed
Due to unforeseen political developments in the State, the Federation of University and College Teachers' Associations in Karnataka (FUCTAK) has postponed its proposed rally of college teachers, scheduled for January 22, a release said.
Transport adalat
The Transport Department has arranged a "Transport Adalat" at the Regional Transport Office, Yeshwanthpur, Corporation Complex, Bangalore (North) on January 25 at 3 p.m. to hear public grievances. Senior officers of the department will be present on the occasion.
