THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The revamped Web site of the State's commercial taxes department, www.keralataxes.org, has been inaugurated by the State Finance Minister, Mr Vakkom Purushothaman.

The site has detailed information on various aspects of value added tax (VAT), including details of VAT collections over the past several months.

In addition, the site also has contact information of various officials of the taxes department and a facility to send grievances to the department. Other information posted on the site includes the history of the taxes department and the sales tax laws of Kerala.
