Power shutdown tomorrow

There will be no power supply between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Saturday in the following areas: all blocks of Koramangala, Jakkasandra, Koramangala Complex, Kirloskar, Jyothi Niwas College, Raheja Complex, Koramangala village, Laxmana Rao Nagar, Rajendranagar, Part of S.T. Bed, Ambedkar Nagar, EWS Quarters, National Games Village and surrounding areas, a BESCOM release said.

Silver car festival

Sri Vallidevasenasametha Sri Subrahmanyeshwara Swamy Temple, Kumara Krupa West, Bangalore, will conduct its 36th annual Silver Car Festival to celebrate Subrahmanya Shasti (Magha Shudda Shasti of Parthiva Nama Samvatsara) on February 4. The car festival will start at noon. A special dry fruits maha abhishekam will be conducted for the presiding deity at 3 a.m. on the same day. After the abhishekam, pradhana homa and ratha prathishta will be performed. In the evening, pradhana homa, shanthyutsava and mahamangalarati will be performed.

BESCOM drive

Bangalore Electricity Supply Company Limited (BESCOM) will conduct a mass disconnection drive on Friday and Saturday in the following areas: Jakkarayanakere area, Sampige Road areas, Bahubalinagar, Doddabommasandra, Ramachandrapura, Kammagondanahalli, Abbigere, Lakshmipura and surrounding areas. The drive will be launched on Friday in the following areas M.S.R. Nagar, Dhivanarapalya, Yeshwanthpur, M.N.K. Nagar, H.M.T. Layout, Shariffnagar, Jairam Colony, AG's Layout and surrounding areas. It will continue till Tuesday in these areas.
