Back `Teachers, pros can play proactive role in reforming education' Our Bureau
Mangalore , Jan. 29 THE two-day national seminar on `Accounting practices: An interactive dialogue with professionals' concluded here on Saturday, where nearly 200 commerce teachers from various parts of the country were exposed to latest issues and practices in the field of accounting. The Mangalore branch of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) and St Aloysius College here jointly organised the seminar. Speaking at the valedictory function, Prof A.M. Narahari, Dean of Faculty of Commerce, St Aloysius College, said that many reports relating to reforms in the education sector are pending with the Government. Teachers and professionals can play a proactive role in implementing reform measures in education sector, through such seminars. He said that academicians should hold pre- and post-budget exercises and submit their suggestions to the Government.
