Bidar: Exhibitions of photographs, paintings and cartoons seem to attract many people at the 72nd National Kannada Sahitya Sammelan in Bidar. Delegates throng the photography exhibition put up by the Archaeological Survey of India, painting exhibitions by various institutions and a solo cartoon exhibition, in the stalls at the venue. "I did not know that the forts in Bidar and Basava Kalyan are so huge and beautiful," said Sudhakar Rao, a banker from Mysore. The exhibition also displays images of the work of restoration taken up at various archaeological monuments and sites, informs Archaeology Superintendent S.S. Nayak. The Kannada Sahitya Sammelan has selected 15 paintings for awards.
