Power shutdown

CHENNAI: Power supply will be suspended in parts of the Government Estate, Muthialpet, Pulianthope, Nammalwarpet, Purasaiwakkam, Park Town, Korattur, Santhome, Kilpauk, Sowcarpet (East), Mandaveli, Velachery SS, Foreshore Estate, KK Nagar, Dhasarathapuram, Gopalapuram and Periamet between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.

BSNL Office shifted

The office of the General Manager, BSNL (South) that was functioning at 164/238, RK Mutt Road, has been shifted to 40E, CTO Building, Thiru-Vi-Ka Industrial Estate, Guindy, on January 18. The new telephone numbers are 22318787 and 22318766. The fax number is 22318777.

Contact lens trial

Vision Care, Kapleshwar Optics and Savera Opticians are jointly offering free trials of contact lens at their outlets from Wednesday to February 10 from 11a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 4 to 7 p.m.

Geriatric camp

The Centre for the Welfare of the Aged, in association with the department of Geriatric Medicine, Government General Hospital, organised a medical camp for senior citizens at Mangalapuram, Perambur, on Saturday. Around 150 elderly people were screened and required medicines given.

NSS camp inaugurated

The NSS annual camp of the Madha Engineering College was inaugurated at Nandambakkam on Tuesday. The camp aims to enhance and create awareness of conservation of water resources.
