Construction worker murdered at Devanahalli

BANGALORE: Four persons murdered a construction worker when he was going along with his family members to a function at Devanahalli in Bangalore Rural district on Sunday morning.

The police gave the name of the victim as Murthy (27).

According to the police, Murthy, his wife, and his sister, were on their way to attend a function at their relative's place at Doddasadarahalli.

Before boarding the bus, all of them went to visit Shirdi Sai Baba temple.

While they were returning to the bus stop, four persons waylaid Murthy.

Dragged and assaulted

They dragged Murthy a few metres and assaulted him. Murthy died on the spot, the police said.

On a complaint by Murthy's wife, the Devanahalli police are investigating the case.
