Back NTPC Q3 net up 30 pc

NEW DELHI: NTPC Ltd has reported 30.47 per cent jump in net profit for the third quarter to Rs 1,781.7 crore (Rs 1,365.5 crore). Total income increased by 22.34 per cent to Rs 7,671.5 crore (Rs 6,270.6 crore), NTPC told the BSE.

The board also decided to pay interim dividend of 20 per cent for 2005-06 and the company has fixed February 14 as the record date.

The NTPC scrip closed lower at Rs 112.85 on Monday on the BSE.
