Back TVS Motor net up 8.4%

TVS Motor Company recorded a turnover of Rs 883.38 crore in the third quarter ended December 2005 compared with Rs 815.23 crore in the same period last year, a growth of 8.4 per cent.

The two-wheelers sold during the quarter were at 358,559 units (322,412 units), recording a growth of 11.2 per cent.

Profit after tax grew 10 per cent to Rs 31.06 crore (Rs 28.23 crore). The EBITDA margin grew from 7.9 per cent to 8.2 per cent despite investments in new product development and launch expenses, says a company press release.
