Back K.C.P. Sugar net up at Rs 8.3 cr

K.C.P. Sugar and Industries Corporation Ltd has reported a net profit of Rs 8.28 crore on net sales of Rs 82.5 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2005.

During the corresponding period in the previous year, the company reported a net profit of Rs 5.88 crore on net sales of Rs 76.64 crore.

The company has two sugar mills in Vuyyuru and Lakshmipuram in Krishna district, Andhra Pradesh, where it hopes to crush more than 16 lakh tonnes of sugarcane during the current season against 13.7 lakh tonnes in the previous season.
