Back Air operations remain normal in Coimbatore

AIR traffic through Coimbatore airport remained normal on Wednesday and there has been no dislocation in services despite the go-slow of a section of the employees in response to the protest call by the Airports Authority of India workers' forum against privatisation of the Delhi and Mumbai airports.

"We could maintain normal services and there has been no hindrance to the flight and passenger movements through the airport,'' said Mr Vijaya Kumar, Director, Coimbatore airport.

Excepting Air Deccan's Coimbatore-Chennai flight, the other flights including Indian Airlines and Jet Airways ran as per schedule.
