John Boehner
WASHINGTON: Representative John Boehner was elected House Majority Leader on Thursday, capping a political comeback that began with his ouster from House leadership eight years ago. The Ohio Republican's new role gives him the power to help set his party's legislative agenda. Democrats, meanwhile, were quick to deride Mr. Boehner as a ``lobbyist lap dog'' who would do nothing to change the cozy dynamics between Capitol Hill and powerful Washington lobbyists.
