Back 2-day convention on science & tech at Hyderabad

'FIVE decades of pharma industry - Challenges ahead' will be one of the special panel discussions with participation from the industry in the two-day annual convention of the Andhra Pradesh Akademi of Sciences (APAS) to be held in Hyderabad on February 27-28.

The main focal theme of the annual convention will be `Science, Technology, Education for Prosperity'. The objective of the convention is to provide a forum for the fellows on scientific matters and propagate the cause of science in socio-economic sphere.

According to a press release from APAS, the Secretary, Union Department of Ocean Development, Dr P.S. Goel, would launch an awareness programme on `Natural hazards with special reference to tsunamis and earthquakes'. He will also deliver the Dr S. Balakrishna memorial lecture in Earth Sciences.
