Back Tools expo fetches business worth Rs 100 cr Our Bureau
New Delhi , Feb. 6 TOOLTECH 2006, the exhibition on cutting tools and tooling systems that concluded on Sunday in the Capital, generated business enquires worth Rs 100 crore. The five-day exhibition inaugurated by Mr B.M. Munjal, Chairman, Hero Honda, saw almost 10,000 business visitors. The exhibition witnessed participation from 209 large, medium and small exhibitors from India and overseas. Almost 40 per cent of the participation comprised foreign exhibitors from 15 countries, including Germany, Korea, Spain, Switzerland, the UK, the US, Austria, Japan, Italy and France, among others. Machine tool industry is expected to grow at 35 per cent in 2006 and 2007, according to the Indian Machine Tool Manufacturers' Association (IMTMA). The exhibition was organised by IMTMA to showcase the latest technology trends in the cutting tool and tooling system industry.
