Back Indian Airlines launches Desh Videsh scheme Our Bureau
Mumbai , Feb. 8 CLOSE on the heels of the launch of the scheme for `unchecked fares' introduced last week, Indian Airlines has launched a new scheme called Desh Videsh 2006 with immediate effect. Desh Videsh 2006 offers reward tickets to passengers completing the requisite value of travel within the validity period between February 6 and May 5. Under the scheme, passengers with a total value of travel of Rs 75,000 during the validity period would be rewarded one international or domestic return ticket of two coupons in the `M' class, which is the set of tickets earmarked for easy or discounted fares. Passengers completing a total value of travel of Rs 1,00,000 would get in reward one international or domestic return ticket of two coupons in the `C/J' or executive class. Passengers with total value of Rs 1,25,000 would get two international or domestic return tickets of two coupons in the `M' class. Passengers with a total value of travel of Rs 1,60,000 would get a reward of two international or domestic return tickets of two coupons in the `C/J' class. Passengers would have to pay taxes or levies applicable on reward tickets. An official statement said that passengers would have to submit original ticket jackets and boarding cards for claiming their reward tickets, latest by June 30.
