Back Meet on cancer management

HYDERABAD: Apollo Cancer Hospital is hosting CANCER CI - 2006 (Cancer Care Education and Research Conference Internationale) here on February 11 and 12 to discuss latest developments in the management of cancer.

Announcing this at a press conference on Thursday, Dr Vijay Anand Reddy, Director of Apollo Cancer Hospital (Hyderabad), said the conference would enlighten the medical fraternity with the latest advances in diagnostics and therapeutics.

The topics for discussion included `Shaped Beam Radio Surgery/ Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy, laser-guided treatment and cervical cancer.

Global experts would take part in the conference, expected to be attended by 1,500 delegates. Dr V. Shanta, Chairperson of Adyar Cancer Institute and the recipient of Ramon Magsaysay Award (2005) and Padma Bhushan (2006), would deliver the keynote address.
