Back Assocham, Serbian body sign MoU to boost trade

THE Association of Chambers of Commerce and Industry and the Serbian Chamber of Commerce havesigned a memorandum of understanding to provide a platform for industries of both countries to explore business opportunities.

The MoU was signed in the presence of the Minister of International Economic Relations of Serbia and Montenegro, Prof Predrag Ivanovic.

The sectors identified for economic cooperation include IT, pharma, engineering, textiles, and plastic products among others. The agreement also covers development of strong institutional relations between the two chambers to establish a sustainable mechanism for dialogue. Its seeks information exchange on general economic status, taxation, investment opportunities, trade policies, and legislative changes taking place in the two countries from time to time.

The MoU will also provide for regular exchange of publications and material on economic development, foreign trade and investment policies of the two countries and assistance in organising business delegations and facilitating business contacts.
