Back Vizag Steel achieves Rs 6,424-cr turnover

VISAKHAPATNAM: Visakhapatnam Steel Plant has achieved sales turnover of Rs 6,424 crore till date in the current financial year, a growth of 4 per cent over the previous year, according to a press release.

This includes exports of Rs 368 crore. In January, the plant achieved sales turnover of Rs 864 crore against Rs 780 crore last in January 2005. The plant produced 3.63 lakh tonnes of hot metal, 3.21 lakh tonnes of liquid steel and 2.86 lakh tonnes of saleable steel in January.
