Back Irish co MobileAware teams up with InFact Our Bureau
Bangalore , Feb. 10 IRELAND-BASED MobileAware announced a partnership with InFact Group, a technology consulting company, to bring its mobile service platform to India. Mobileaware will take advantage of InFact's customer relationship management expertise with Indian SMBs (small and medium businesses). Now, companies will be able to offer their employees smart phones that connect to the existing CRM software such as Siebel CRM OnDemand, said Mr Kirk Tang, General Manager, MobileAware Asia-Pacific. Global mobile CRM solutions will grow from 10 per cent of total CRM revenues to 20 per cent by 2010, according to reports by analysts. Most companies plan a three-month mobile strategy, which can be cut down by about 25-30 per cent, said Mr Tang. The software platform also simplifies the design of Web sites to make them more suited for mobiles. The company has added mobile tags to HTML to change the look and feel of Web sites to suit mobile devices. For each handset, different levels of graphical design and data can be selected. The device database offered by Mobileaware supports 1,500 handsets. MobileAware's Interaction server is being marketed by BEA as WebLogic Mobility Server. Other partners include Ericsson, Intel, HP, EMC Documentum and Accenture. The company is funded by Intel Capital, CrossAtlantic Capital, Nauta and Bank of America. An insurance agent may soon replace the 30-page form and work with PDAs. Digitally signing on a PDA, after ensuring conditions are met, may soon be possible, said Mr Tang. MobileAware's server enables this application, along with online ticketing and accessing your spreadsheet at office. InFact helped bring out Indian Railways' online ticketing system that allows mobile users to book and check tickets.
