HYDERABAD: A `chintan baithak' of the BJP is likely to be held here in May to discuss measures to revive the resolution adopted by the State unit of the party at Kakinada supporting the demand for Statehood to Telangana. The baithak which would be attended by national leaders of the party was originally proposed for March but it was deferred until May in view of elections in five States and the budget session of the Parliament and Assembly, the BJP Secretary, B. Dattatreya, said. Speaking to reporters on Friday, Mr. Dattatreya denied the possibility of an alliance, for the present, with the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) as predicted in the editorial of a journal brought out by the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). The BJP would not have any links with the TRS as it supported the anti-people policies of Congress. There was a big divide between TRS and BJP, he added.
