Manuscripts Week

The Manuscripts Conservation Centre at the Salar Jung Museum here is celebrating Manuscripts Week from Saturday as part of which a `Manuscripts Walk' from 8 a.m. will be organised from Charminar to the museum. Mayor Teegala Krishna Reddy will flag off the walk from Charminar. National Museums director general AKVS Reddy will award prizes and certificates.

Harikatha Gaanam

Vignana Samithi is organising `Harikatha Gaanam' by M.V.Simhachala Sastry on Tyagaraja, Muthuswamy Dikshitar and Syama Sastry for three days from Saturday at Anand Nagar Community Hall in Khairatabad at 6 p.m.

Death of Princess condoled

MP and Congress Parliamentary Party Deputy Leader G. Venkatswamy has condoled the death of Princess Durru Shavar on Tuesday night in London.

In a message he expressed shock at the death of the Princess and expressed his condolences to both Prince Mukarram Jah and Prince Muffakam Jah.
