HYDERABAD: A hat-trick by Mohd. Azeem enabled Munsif (Hyderabad) score an emphatic 5-1 win against Friends United Club in the final of the 10th Bolarum Challenge Cup football tournament at Bolarum School Grounds here on Sunday. Dominating the game right from the word go with wingers Saleh and Md. Mozzam showing the desired enterprise and imagination to feed the speedy forwards Mohd. Azeem and Jaleel, Munsif shot into lead very early when Azeem dribbled his way into the striking zone of a long cross from the left by Naveed to catch the goalkeeper on the wrong foot before tapping the ball into the left corner. It could have been 2-0 very soon but Talah, who had the custodian at his mercy, made a mess of a simple chance by hitting over the bar.
Rare counter-attach
In a rare counter-attack Friends Club equalised through a Saleem. But it's joy proved to be a shortlived one as Mohd. Azeem was in the scoring act with a lovely solo effort. Munsif's Azeem completed a hat-trick incidentally the first of the event, thrugh yet another fine individual effort which had the entire defence baffled. Later, Talah and Mozzam struck once each to complete the tally for the winner. In the dying minutes, Aiyyaz converted a penalty to reduce the margin.
