Back Air Deccan to launch more flights from Chennai Our Bureau
New Delhi , Feb. 13 THE low-cost airline Air Deccan plans to start operating daily flights from Chennai to Port Blair, Mumbai and Ahmedabad from early March. The Managing Director, Capt. G. R. Gopinath, said that the flights would be launched with the new Airbus A-320 aircraft that the company had received on Saturday. The new aircraft is to be based in Chennai and the airline hopes to launch the three flights from March 1 this year provided all Government approvals are received. "We will also be getting another Airbus A-320 aircraft this month that will be used to operate flights from Kolkata to Port Blair, Nagpur and Mumbai," Capt. Gopinath said.
