Back Dr Singh's predicament

This is with reference to the article, "Mr Prime Minister, your slip is showing," (Business Line, February 14). The article echoes the anguish and dismay of many.

Dr Singh started with a tactical mistake of not choosing to get himself elected to the Lower House, as an acknowledgement of the basic Parliamentary tradition.

As an elected Prime Minister he probably would have been a totally different person.
