SAMSUNG India today announced the launch of Haydn and Vivaldi range of LCD monitors, an `Awesome Twosome' limited period offer for 17-inch LCD monitors, and a new laptop range all at one go targeting both office and home users, including the large upgrade market.

The company, which is targeting a 200 per cent growth in TFT-LCD monitor sales this year, is enhancing the production capacity of its manufacturing facility at Noida, from 2.5 lakh units per annum to 5 lakh units.

The Head-Value Business, IT, Mr Princy Bhatnagar, Samsung India, said, "TFT LCD monitors, printers and notebooks will be the flagship categories that will drive the company's hi-end sales this year."

Addressing a press conference, Mr Bhatnagar announced the launch of Haydn series of TFT LCD monitors in the 15, 17 and 19-inch screens and a 17-inch Vivaldi range. The company unveiled three new laptops that are "thin and light" based on Napa platform with Intel Centrino Duo mobile technology.

Referring to the Awesome Twosome offer, which would be available till March, Mr Bhatnagar said that with every 17-inch monitor, a laser printer worth Rs 8,490 is bundled. The company has targeted sales of about 25,000 during the period.
