HYDERABAD: Priyadarshini Spinning Mills Ltd, a leading manufacturer in cotton and synthetic yarn, had recently achieved the Oeko-Tex Standard 100 certification.

The Oeko-Tex Standard 100 comprehensively addresses the human ecology component of textile products. It evaluates and screens for any harmful substances present within processed textiles intended to come into contact with consumers.

The International Oeko-Tex Association developed the Oeko-Tex Standard 100 test to ensure the human safety aspects of clothing without compromising fashion and function.

Mr Harish Cherukuri, Managing Director of PSM, said, "This international ecological certification would help us in increasing our exports in the European market".
