KINGFISHER Airlines has received several applications from pilots of Air Sahara.

An official spokesperson of Kingfisher Airlines said the airline had not taken any decision on the applications received and not a single appointment letter had been sent out by the company so far.

Since Sunday, Air Sahara's flight schedule have been affected by the mass leave resorted to by a section of its pilots.

According to reports, the pilots have sought assurances from Air Sahara on the protection of their seniority and pay packages when their employment transfers to Jet Airways.

According to an Air Sahara spokesperson, the airline had to cancel 12 flights on Tuesday.

Responding to Kingfisher's claim that it had received applications from Air Sahara pilots, she said according to the DGCA norms, the pilots would have to get a no-objection certificate from their current employer and also give the employer six months notice before moving to another airline.
