Scholarships for European Masters programme HERE ARE the Europeans looking again for Indian students. This time, the offer is European Masters programme in Lifelong Learning conducted by the Danish University of Education, in association with the London Institute of Education and Deusto University, Bilbao. Six scholarships are offered for Indian students. The European Commission has selected a consortium consisting of three institutions to join the prestigious Erasmus Mundus Programme. The consortium, which is led by the Danish University of Education, will offer a two-year European Masters in Lifelong Learning: Policy and Management (MA LLL) as of September 2006. The Erasmus Mundus Programme provides EU-funded scholarships for third-country nationals participating in the MA LLL. The MA LLL reserves up to 25 places a year for third-country students, and third-country students wishing to enrol on the MA LLL will receive a scholarship of {euro} 42,000 each. Third-country scholars wishing to carry out teaching and research assignments and scholarly work for a shorter period in the institutions offering the MA LLL are eligible for a scholarship totalling {euro} 13,000. The MA LLL was ranked eighth among the 21 newly selected Erasmus Mundus Masters Courses. Erasmus Mundus is a co-operation and mobility programme in post-graduate higher education. It aims at promoting the European Union as a centre of excellence in learning around the world, by attracting high quality students from countries outside the European Union to register for Joint Masters Degrees.
Inter-collegiate quiz
ICFAI National College, Malleswaram centre, organised an Inter-Collegiate Business Quiz Competition - MAZE '06 on February 8. The objective of Maze `06 was to test the business news awareness of students and provoke them to develop the habit of reading newspaper and watch news channels. Over 15 colleges from the city participated in the event. The quiz was organised and conducted by the students of ICFAI National College Malleswaram.
