BANGALORE: Two persons were killed in as many road accidents reported from Bangalore Rural district on Wednesday. The police said Gopalakrishna, an advocate from Mysore, was killed when a goods vehicle rammed the multiutility vehicle by which he was travelling. The accident occurred around 8.30 a.m. on Bangalore-Mysore Highway, off Seshagirihalli in Bidadi police station limits. The driver of the vehicle, Mohan, was injured. The Bidadi police have registered a case.
Lorry overturns
In another accident, Ramesh (32), a construction worker, was killed when a stone-laden lorry overturned in Anekal police station limits on Wednesday afternoon. The police said the driver lost control over the lorry while trying to avoid a cow. Ramesh, who was in the vehicle, fell down. Stone slabs from the lorry fell on him, killing him instantaneously, the police said.
