Belgaum: Governor T.N. Chaturvedi, who was here to preside over the annual convocation of Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) on Monday, released DVDs of lessons beamed through the VTU-EDUSAT programme. Mr. Chaturvedi released a set of four DVDs on "Constitution of India and professional ethics," a compulsory subject for students of the seventh semester of VTU. Subjects such as Fundamental Rights, Directive Principles of State Policy, Significance of Fundamental Duties, Offices of the President, Vice-President, Prime Minister, Parliament and Supreme Court were covered in 18 sessions that were transmitted live recently from the VTU studio in Bangalore under the EDUSAT-Karnataka programme. N.R. Narayana Murthy, Chairman and Chief Mentor of Infosys, released the DVDs on "Functional English," a compulsory subject for first and second semester engineering students.
