`Gold polisher' arrested

BANGALORE: The Basaveshwaranagar police have arrested Rajesh Kumar (23) of Ahmedabad who, by posing as gold ornament polisher, had allegedly cheated several women in the city of their gold jewellery in the past one month.

The police said they caught Kumar on Tuesday while he was trying to escape after cheating Anupama S. Achar of her gold ornaments.

The police are on the lookout for his three accomplices, Dileep Kumar, Pappu Kumar and Ajith Kumar, all from Gujarat.

Women who had been cheated by gold polishers can contact the Basaveshwaranagar police to ascertain whether Kumar had duped them, the police said.
