EPIC work begins today

ERODE: Work for the provision of Electors Photo Identity Card (EPIC) to the voters would be started from February 20 in the district, said the District Collector, D. Karthikeyan. Talking to presspersons he said that day the work would start in Erode, Modakurichi, Perundurai, Bhavani and Anthiyur constituencies. Another process would commence in Gobichettipalayam, Bhavanisagar, Sathyamangalam, Kangeyam and Vellakoil from February 24.

The second phase of work would begin from February 28. The Collector said that in Erode district 62.84 per cent of the voters had been given the cards.
