20,000 enrol for sports meet

ERODE: One thousand youths are expected to participate in each rural sports meet to be conducted in 20 panchayat union headquarters. About 20,000 youths have enrolled their names for participation in various sports meet, said the Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowment Minister, P.C. Ramasamy on Friday.

The Minister said the State Government had instructed the district Collector to organise multi-media expo in all the Panchayat Union headquarters. Accordingly such expo had been conducted in 20 panchayat union headquarters in Erode district.
