Back `World's view of India has changed' Our Bureau
Hyderabad , Feb. 19 FROM an image of the land of yoga, tigers, snake charmers and Maharajas, India has acquired an image of a place "where things are happening". According to Mr Navtej Sarna, official spokesperson of Union Ministry of External Affairs, the image of India had changed in the last 10-12 years. Hyderabad and Bangalore had contributed a lot to make the world change its view about India. "The image cannot be brighter than the object, and the fact that there is a visible change in India's image in the world is reiterated. This goes to show the changing reality of what India is," a CII press release, quoting Mr Navtej, said. He attributed the positive change in world's view about India to the resilience of democracy, economy and the educational institutions. "In the modern world, India is well known for its fashion, cuisine, sport, Bollywood and literature," he said, addressing an interactive session with members of Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) here recently.
