Sun Microsystems has announced a competition for students and faculty in universities around the world to develop projects on Solaris 10 Operating System and OpenSolaris. The winner or each winning team member will get $5,000 plus a Sun Ultra workstation and the winner's university will receive credit with a retail value of US dollars 100,000 toward the purchase of Sun Microsystems products. This international competition closes on June 10, 2006. Any student, faculty or university IT staff at an accredited university or academic institution can participate.
