Infertility meet this week

BANGALORE: The Indian Society of Assisted Reproduction will conduct its 11th National Congress on "Advanced Management of Infertility" in Bangalore for two days from February 24.

According to a press release, the congress will be attended by about 500 delegates from different parts of the country who are involved in management of male and female infertility. Dignitaries from Canada, Israel, the U.K., Egypt, Australia and Singapore will also take part.

The congress will feature discussions, lectures and debates on topics such as setting up of IVF laboratories, induction of ovulation in various clinical situations, genetics in male and female infertility, and HIV-affected partners.

There will be two pre-congress workshops on February 22 and February 23. The first workshop will be on Male Infertility and Andrology, which will be conducted by D. Mortimer of Canada. The second workshop will deal with conventional assisted reproductive technology.

There will be post congress workshop on "Recurrent Pregnancy Loss" on February 26, the press release said.
