Back Task force set up to tackle bird flu in AP Our Bureau
Hyderabad , Feb. 21 THE Andhra Pradesh Government has set up a Task Force to deal with the bird flu problem, even as chicken and egg sales continue to dip in the State. The Task Force, which would be headed by Mr Priyadarshi Dash, Principal Secretary (Animal Husbandry), would comprise Dr I.V. Subba Rao (Principal Secretary, Medical, Health and Family Welfare), Mr G. Anand (General Manager of National Egg Coordination Committee) and Mr K. Narayan Reddy (President of AP Poultry Federation). Dr L. Mohan, Director of Animal Husbandry, would act as its Convener. Dr Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy, who reviewed the situation at a high-level meeting on Tuesday, has directed the panel to meet every day and monitor all the issues related to the problem.
