Back Expedite RWS schemes: YSR

HYDERABAD: The Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister, Dr Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy, has directed the officials of the Rural Development Ministry to complete all the pending RWS (rural water supply) schemes supported by the National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (Nabard) by June.

Reviewing RWS schemes, he wanted to know the reasons for the tardy progress in the completion of the schemes taken up under RIDF (Rural Infrastructure Development Funds) VI-X projects.

Noting that 44 projects were still under progress, the Chief Minister directed the officials to complete them before the summer set in, a Government press release said.
