ANANTAPUR: A private complaint was lodged against Dharmavaram town SI P. Rajendranath Yadav in the Additional Judicial First Class Magistrate's Court at Kadiri in the district on Wednesday by a woman from S. Brahmanapalli village in Mudigubba mandal charging the SI with abducting and raping her. Incharge Additional Judicial First Class Magistrate C.K. Gayatridevi recorded the statements of the `victim' and her father and referred the case to Superintendent of Police Sanjay Kumar Jain. The complainants urged the court to register a case against the SI under the Sections 341, 342 366 and 376 read with 200 of CrPC. Speaking to mediapersons at Kadiri on Wednesday night after lodging the complaint in the court, the woman, a graduate in microbiology, narrated how the SI came in contact with her and how he had allegedly gone about spoiling her life. The Judge sent the woman for medical examination to the Government Area Hospital at Kadiri, where the doctors sought three days time for getting the report. When contacted, the SI refuted the charges and said she was blackmailing him. The SP also brushed aside the charges against the SI.
