Two-day ikebana exhibition from February 25

CHENNAI: Love for flowers is universal. Flowers have served as a medium to express overwhelming emotions of all kinds in all cultures around the world. And, to the Japanese, who adore nature, flowers and other parts of the plant hold an incomparable aesthetic appeal.

The state centre of the ABK AOTS Dosokai is organising a two-day exhibition called `Line, colour and form in ikebana', in association with Sogetsu Study Circle, Chennai, at Lalit Kala Akadami on February 25 and 26.

The flower arrangements will be done by members of the Sogetsu Study Circle.

Periodic ikebana exhibitions are being held in Chennai for the past 26 years and by the Tamil Nadu Centre of ABK AOTS Dosokai for the last six years.

The exhibition is open to public on both days from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
