Politician-turned-astrologer

WHEN POLITICS and astrology get together, the combination can be striking. Not just politicians consulting astrologers, common enough in our country, but a politician turning astrologer and making some predictions with uncanny accuracy.

T.D. Harischandra Gowda, who has been a Congress member, came out with a set of forecasts nine months ago, including N. Dharam Singh stepping down and the Janata Dal (Secular) forming the Government with support from others in 2006.

Not all of us believed him then.

Now he tells us that a change of government may well take place in Delhi by the middle of this year.

The new Prime Minister may even be from Karnataka.
