Back Debate on industrial development in Kerala

The `SSI Club and SME entrepreneurs' at the SSI branch of the State Bank of Travancore (SBT) held an open debate on industrial development in the State.

Mr T. Balakrishnan, Principal Secretary for Industries and Commerce, who was the chief guest, exhorted aspiring entrepreneurs to think bold and set up the their units. Kerala has recently been acclaimed as the least corrupt State, and the implementation of the Right to Information Act should go to further limit the scope of corruption. This has created a favourable climate for entrepreneurs.

Among those who attended the session were Mr N. Vimalan, Additional Director, Industries; Mr H.N. Das, Deputy General Manger, Mr A. Krishna Iyer and Mr T. Ananthakrishna Pillai, Assistant General Managers, BSBT.
