Back Water levels decline in Kerala reservoirs

Water levels at three major reservoirs in the State - Idukki, Idamalayar and Kallada - have recorded a decline when compared to the readings made a week ago.

According to figures released by the Central Water Commission here, the levels declined from 2,374.12 ft to 2,370.58 ft at Idukki, 512.40 ft to 507.81 ft at Idamalayar and from 370.28 ft to 368.60 ft at Kallada.

However, year-on-year comparisons revealed that the levels have in fact increased by 27.38 ft at Idukki, 27.30 ft at Idamalayar and by 13.22 ft at Kallada.
