Back 'No bird flu infection in humans' Our Bureau
Earlier the Health Ministry has said that two more people, who reported upper respiratory tract infection (URI), have been kept under observation, taking the total to 14 persons. According to an official statement, "As on February 23, 2006 there are 14 persons (10 males; 4 females; 6 children and 8 adults) of URI (who have history of poultry deaths in their back-yard farm/contact with infected poultry) under observation in Navapur sub-district hospital. All these persons are febrile but under constant observation. The two additional cases admitted for observation is a culler, 55-year-old male, and a 60-year-old male from Pangran village. The X-ray reports of both these patients are normal.
