Back `Common man empowered'

Mr Sunil Duggal, CEO, Dabur India Ltd, said: "The Finance Minister has indicated his intent to promote the food processing sector by categorising it under the `priority sector' and I am sure he will encourage this sector with additional initiatives in the coming years.

"Furthermore, the `common man' has been empowered with initiatives like reduction in duties for small cars, no changes in income tax and more pensions for the old and destitute. This will equip them with more purchasing power and in turn help companies, especially the FMCG sector where majority sales are from rural India."
