Back TVS Feb sales up 18 per cent

TVS Motor Company posted a growth of 16 per cent in motorcycles, selling 66,391 units in February. "With the launch of TVS Apache, TVS expects to close this year with a growth of 18 per cent in motorcycle sales and the highest volumes ever achieved in the history of TVS Motor Company," says a press release from the company.

The growth in motorcycles has pushed the sales of total two wheelers units in February 2006 to 1,08,923 units compared to 96,020 units recorded last year, a growth of 13 per cent.

On the export front, TVS continued with its growth trend with export of 6,007 vehicles in February, a growth of 73 per cent compared to the corresponding period in the previous year.
