Back Leather ind disappointed

The leather industry is disappointed with the Budget since it does not address any of its major demands. Mr Rafeeque Ahmed, Chairman, Council for Leather Exports, said important issues such as the request for doing away with countervailing duty on leather machinery and a Rs 100- crore assistance for effluent treatment facilities have not been addressed.
