Israel team visits Air Force Academy

Israel Air Force Commander Elyzer Shkedy, accompanied by his fellow officers, visited the Air Force Academy here on Wednesday.

The team observed the flying and ground training areas and other facilities. AFA Commandant R. H. Karve gave a presentation on various activities, according to a press release.

Admission test for gurukul institutions

Entrance test for admission to fifth class of Andhra Pradesh Gurukul Educational Institutions will be held on March 5 from 9.30 a.m. to 11.30 a.m.

Those who have not obtained hall-tickets till Friday (March 3) can contact the education officer concerned of the revenue division for issuance of duplicate hall-tickets, according to a press release.

Food festival

Karaikudi Chettinad Food Fest will be organised at Hotel NKM's Grand from March 4.

The food festival will be on from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. at the hotel's Treat Way multi-cuisine restaurant, according to its general manager R. Jaganaath.

The buffet, priced at Rs.185 and taxes, will have delicacies like `Kozhi Melagu Varuval', `Chettinad Kaikari Biryani' and `Devakottai Attu Erachi Khaima Biryani.' The festival will continue up to March 12.

Management meet

Variety of formal and non-formal events have been planned for Avirbhav'06 - the management meet of the Department of Business Management, A.V. College, to be held on March 3 and 4. These include paper presentations, young manager contest, quiz, singing and dance programmes. The final event will be the Mr. and Ms. Avirbhav.
