MUMBAI: Shrugging off the overnight mild correction, the rupee on Friday climbed to over two-week closing high of 44.32/33 a dollar, driven up by robust foreign portfolio investment inflows amid a retreating dollar overseas. In an otherwise range-bound trading at the interbank foreign exchange market, the rupee rallied by five paise from Thursday's close of 44.37/38 after a positive opening slot of 44.3350/3450. The rupee fell by one paisa on Thursday. PTI
